The Games and Sports Committee of the college plays a crucial role in promoting physical fitness, team spirit, and sportsmanship among students. Recognizing that sports are integral to holistic education, the committee organizes and manages various sports events, encourages student participation in inter-collegiate and university-level competitions, and works to enhance the sports infrastructure of the college.
Objectives:
· To inculcate values of teamwork, discipline, and fair play through sports.
· To identify and nurture sporting talent among students.
· To encourage participation in intra- and inter-college sports competitions.
· To develop and maintain sports infrastructure and facilities.
· To promote a culture of regular physical activity and fitness on campus.
Key Activities:
· Annual Sports Meet: A flagship event with track & field competitions, indoor and outdoor games, and prize distribution.
· Selection Trials: For forming college teams to participate in university and inter-college tournaments.
· Fitness Awareness Programs: Yoga, physical fitness sessions, and workshops on nutrition and health.
· Participation in University Tournaments: Sending student teams for Yogi Vemana University competitions.
