The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of the college was established in line with the initiative of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) to systematically nurture the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in educational institutions. IIC is dedicated to fostering creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking among students and faculty. Through various activities, mentorship, and competitions, the IIC serves as a platform for idea generation, project development, and innovation-driven community development, especially relevant in rural contexts.
Objectives:
· To cultivate a culture of innovation, design thinking, and entrepreneurship on campus.
· To identify and nurture innovative student ideas and support them towards prototype development.
· To encourage participation in Hackathons, Ideathons, Start-up Bootcamps, and innovation challenges.
· To build linkages with local industries, innovators, and start-ups.
· To support rural innovation and problem-solving aligned with local needs.
Key Activities:
· Innovation Workshops: Hands-on training on product design, idea validation, and business model development.
· Mentorship Programs: Sessions with innovators, entrepreneurs, faculty mentors, and incubation centers.
· Celebration of Innovation Days: National Innovation Day, World IP Day, and Entrepreneurship Day.
· Field Exposure: Visits to innovation hubs, rural start-ups, and local MSMEs.
