The Chemistry Department in your college was established in 1996 and initially offered a combined course with Botany and Zoology. This combination was in place until 2022 when the National Education Policy (NEP) 2022 was introduced by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. As a result, the Honors System was implemented, featuring Single Major and Single Minor courses in degree programs.
Key Changes Implemented
- Single Major and Minor System: The college management adopted this system, allowing students to focus on a primary subject (major) while still exploring a secondary subject (minor).
- Specifically, our college chose Botany as the major course and Chemistry as the minor course for students.
