About the Department:

The Department of Economics has a rich history, dating back to 1992 when the college was established. Over the years, the department has evolved, adapting to changes in academic programs and student interests.
 
Evolution of Departments
1. Initial Years: The Department of Economics was part of a group with History and Political Science, all functioning since 1992.
2. Changes in 2022: The implementation of Major and Minor courses led to the discontinuation of the Political Science department.
3. New Developments in 2024: With autonomy, the department introduced Special Telugu as a minor subject, replacing History, to cater to students' interests and leverage their mother tongue.
